Akron Summit Community Action, Inc. Head Start/ Early Head Start realizes that each child is a unique individual who brings his/her own perspective to the learning process. Because Head Start recognizes that early identification and intervention is key to the future success of our children, developmental screenings, teacher observations, and parental input are utilized to determine the individual needs of each child. Akron Summit Community Action, Inc. Head Start/Early Head Start accomplishes individualization by working with Local Education Associations (LEA’s) , mental health organizations, speech & language therapists and staff. Head Start strives to assure that each child receives the services needed to succeed in Head Start and in their future school environment.
