Position:         RECRUITMENT & ENROLLMENT

Program:          Head Start/Early Head Start

Reports to:        Recruitment & Enrollment Administrator

Job Summary:  Under direction, responsible for achieving and maintaining full enrollment of age eligible children (6 weeks to age 5) utilizing various recruitment strategies, completing assessments, and eligibility determination activities in accordance with established program standards and other applicable regulations and guidelines; input data into software tracking system; perform record keeping tasks and maintain files for wait lists, transfers, withdrawals and terminations; serve as liaison with community agencies, parent groups and families to promote program services; monitor children’s files for up-to-date eligibility maintenance documentation and compliance; participate in home visits, as required; prepare and submit required reports; attend staff meetings, training and workshops; perform related duties as assigned

Requirements: Completion of secondary education and one (1) year demonstrated experience working in social services and/or community action programs, or equivalent combinations of training and experience; computer literacy; possession of a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and transportation, as position requires travel throughout the county; Summit County residency; fingerprint and background checks conducted

Pay Rate:           $11.05 per hour/Pay Level 6

Program:          Early Head Start (Infants/Toddlers)

Reports to:       Child Development Center (CDC) Supervisor

Job Summary: In accordance with established program standards, state and federal regulations, as applicable, work with infants and toddlers enrolled in the Early Head Start program to provide a safe, healthy and compliant environment for care and development. Overall responsibilities include: prepare and implement curriculum and age-appropriate developmental experiences; supervise children in the classroom and during other developmentally appropriate activities; write individual education plans, as applicable; conduct age-appropriate developmental screenings; conduct parent-teacher conferences and home visits; promote parent involvement in the classroom and/or center through implementation of center activities and parent meetings; track and report parent volunteer hours; conduct inventory of classroom equipment and supplies; maintain current record-keeping compliant with program procedures; attend staff meetings, training and workshops; perform other related duties as required

Requirements: Completion of post secondary education with a minimum of a Associate Degree (2-Year) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) /Child Development and two (2) years demonstrated experience working with infants/toddlers; must have a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and transportation, as position requires minimal travel; computer literacy; Summit County residency; fingerprint and background checks conducted

 

Pay Rate:      $12.63 per/hr, Pay Level 8 (Degree: 2-year in ECE)                                $13.90 per/hr, Pay Level 9 (Degree: 4-year in ECE)

Position:         TEACHER ASSISTANT

 Reports to:      Child Development Center (CDC) Supervisor

Job Summary:  In accordance with established program standards, day care licensing guidelines, State and Federal regulations, work with preschoolers (ages 3 to 5). Responsibilities include assisting the classroom teacher to: maintenance of a safe and healthy classroom environment; prepare and implement curriculum and age appropriate developmental experiences; provide supervision of children in the classroom, on field trips and applicable activities; develop the age-appropriate individual education plans; prepare and maintain children records (e.g. ongoing observations, weekly and/or monthly reports, attendance reports, etc.); plan and implement parent conferences and home visits as required; conduct inventory of classroom equipment and supplies; promote parent involvement in the classroom and/or center; track and report parent volunteer hours; wrap-up tasks to prepare classroom for closure at close of program year; and attend staff meetings, training/workshop; perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements: Completion of secondary education with six (6) months experience in age-appropriate teaching field. Must have or is working towards an age-appropriate center-based Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or equivalent combinations of experience and/or education; computer literacy; must have a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and transportation; criminal background checks conducted; Summit County residency

Pay Rate:                  $10.34 per hour/Pay Level 5
