Position: NUTRITION CONSULTANT

Department: Head Start/Early Head Start

Program: Head Start/Early Head Start

Reports to: Head Start Director

Job Summary: Under general direction, coordinates, implements, and monitors nutrition services component of the Head Start/Early Head Start Program for children 6 weeks to age 5. Responsibilities include: Develops monthly menus and nutrition plans; orders and tracks food supply; tracks kitchen equipment and other inventory; prepares purchase orders for food vendor billing; prepares documentation for USDA reimbursement; monitors and evaluates nutrition program delivery for Grantee and Delegate programs to ensure compliance; develops and/or updates nutrition component plan and procedures manual; conducts nutrition training for parents, cooking staff and other staff as needed. Performs other duties as required

Requirements: Completion of 4-year degree in Dietetics and/or Nutrition with at least three (3) years work experience in institutional food management; must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and licensed by the State of Ohio; must have a State of Ohio Driver's License and transportation. Summit County Residency. Background checks conducted.

Pay Rate: $17.18 per hour, minimum

Classification: Regular, Part-time, Seasonal

Position: COMMUNITY SERVICES SPECIALIST

Department: Social & Special Programs

Program: Outreach & Community Development

Reports to: Project Coordinator

Job Summary: Under general supervision and in accordance with funding source regulations and agency/program guidelines responsibilities include: conducts customer intake and eligibility determination for emergency services (i.e. food, clothing, rent/mortgage assistance, eye/dental assistance and other household items); and utility assistance (i.e. Home Energy Assistance Program [HEAP]-Winter and Summer Programs and PIPP); assists with leveraging community resources to meet the needs of customers; assists with food distribution of on-site food pantry and special/seasonal food baskets; provides referrals to customers on other related agency and community services; utilizes keyboard to enter information in computer files; types and/or prepares correspondences as required; collects data and prepares program reports; attends and assists with community group meetings (i.e. tenant councils, neighborhood block clubs, etc.); performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: Completion of post secondary education with an Associate Degree and a minimum of one (1) year work experience in human services organization or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience. Possession of valid State of Ohio Driver's License and transportation. Fingerprint and background checks conducted

Pay Rate: $11.22 per hour (Excellent Benefits)

Position: TASK FORCE MEMBER

Department: Social & Special Programs

Program: Child Assault Prevention (CAP)

Reports to: Project Coordinator

Job Summary: Under general supervision, assists in implementation and/or presentation of assault prevention workshops to preschool and elementary school age children; interacts with children through age-appropriate role-play and guided discussions to teach assault prevention techniques and how to recognize and respond to potentially dangerous situations; prepares and distributes materials and evaluation forms; communicate results of evaluations to classroom teachers and/or school counselors; attends meetings, training and workshops as required/assigned; performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: Completion of high school education, minimum. Any combination of training and work experience that indicate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities to carryout the responsibilites cited in the job summary. Possession of valid State of Ohio Driver's License and transportation. Summit County residency. Background checks conducted.

Pay Rate: $9.83 per hour

Position: PROJECT COORDINATOR/FAMILY DEVELOPMENT

Reports to: Program Administrator

Job Summary: In accordance with established program guidelines and under general direction, plans, develops, coordinates and implements the activities of the Family Development Program with direct responsibilities that include: recruitment, assessment, enrollment, case management with program participants to help them identify and attain established self-sufficiency goals, and maintenance of the required level of program participants; serves as liaison with community agency and provides linkage with community and agency resources; conducts home visits; prepares compliance and other program management reports; monitors program implementation, its progress and recommends modification as needed; evaluates, records and reports program outcomes; performs record-keeping; attends meetings, training and workshops; performs other duties as assigned

Requirements: Completion of a 4-year degree in Social Work, Human Services or related discipline and two (2) years experience or equivalent combinations of training and/or work experience; proficient in Microsoft Applications. State of Ohio Driver's License, transportation, Summit County residency; fingerprint and background checks conducted.

Pay Rate: $26,640.00 Annually. (Excellent Benefits)

Position: ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary: Under direction, assist in the preparation of agency payroll with functions to include: processing employee payroll, paying taxes, making deposits for withholdings, transmitting direct deposits, preparing employer's tax return, processing garnishments, tax liens, bankruptcies, child support, annual W-2 reporting, cash advances, duplicate checks and other employee verifications; conducts account receivables functions that include: cash receipts, reviews and processes invoices for payment of services, supplies, materials and equipment, calculates and verifies for accuracy invoice totals against purchase orders on file, petty cash, gathers fiscal data and updates, posts, or prepares various fiscal control documents, receives invoice payment checks, gathers data for agency audits; performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: Completion of college education with a four (4) year degree in Accounting and three (3) years experience in an payroll accounting position or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience. Experience in ADP Pay Xpert preferred. Summit County residency. Background conducted.

Pay Rate: Hiring Range $30,870.00-$35,730.00 Annually. (Excellent Benefits)
